During the 2022–23 season, Milan, led by head coach Stefano Pioli and chairman Paolo Scaroni, finished 4th in Serie A and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. They were runners-up in the Supercoppa Italiana and exited the Coppa Italia in the Round of 16.
