Mr Thomas Greenwood was elected captain, Walter Duckworth secretary, and Johnny Lewis treasurer. Photographic evidence shows the team in navy/white in 1878 and the contemporary Charles Alcock’s Football Annuals confirm these colours were worn until 1881.
